Our story
Jambette’s story could simply be that of its products, as every year we work passionately to develop the next generation of recreational and playground equipment and site furnishings.
However, Jambette’s story encompasses much more than that. It is the story of a playground equipment manufacturer that has never stopped innovating in every aspect to reach the highest peaks in terms of quality, safety and social conscience since it was founded in 1983.
Here are just a few important dates in our development.
Jambette Playground Equipment officially opens.
Jambette launches its own social program, Stop Vandalism, and implements a participative type of production system at the company (PVA, Kanban system).
Jambette receives a Mercure award from the Quebec Federation of Chambers of Commerce. The most prestigious industrial award in the province of Quebec.
Jambette is invited to sit on the committee for the CAN/CSA-Z614 standard on Children’s playspaces and equipment.
Jambette is the first Canadian company to obtain IPEMA certification, the highest level of safety accreditation in the playground equipment industry.
The Quebec government invites Jambette to sit on the committee for developing the standard on work-life balance.
We win another award: as part of the Les Pléiades compeition, the Lévis Chamber of Commerce recognizes the excellence of our practices in human resources.
Today, Jambette has more than 80 regular employees, and works with some 200 others among our suppliers and in the community. Led by its three founders, along with Marie-Noël Grenier, General Manager and Associate, the company is as solid and stable as its products!
